America’s Next Top Model: It’s A Brazilian Jungle Out There

The final four girls on America’s Next Top Modelwill be challenged to learn the Samba tonight. Then theywill use those moves to help them in their Brazilian jungle photo shoot withphotographer Tyra Banks. A lot is on the line considering this picture will determine which girls make it into the final three. Find out which models have what it takes…
The girls receive Tyra mail that makes no sense. They have no ideas about what will happen when they arrive. Paulina greets them and tells them that good Samba dancers need poise and coordination. Julianna, a dance instructor, will be teaching them how to apply the Samba moves and make it look easy.
Then the girls dance for Paulina one by one. They are supposed to keep the confidence, while posing with their faces. She tells Celia that she appears to be trying to hard, almost to the point of desperation, and she needs to let go. Aminat was a natural on the dancefloor, and Allison was the complete opposite. Teyona was very clumsy. Paulina tells them the true lesson was how to create an illusion when they are out of their element.
TYRA MAIL: Whatever you do, don’t look down.
The girls greet Paulina on a rooftop, where they will be competing in an America’s Next Top Modeldancing challenge to win jewelry valued at over $7k. Paulina tells them that every time they look down she will deduct a million points. Allison, the least confident of the bunch, is first and she’s stiff as a board. Paulina is impressed with how much Celia was able to relax. Aminat did a really good job and the girls are sure that they will win. Teyona just looked uncomfortable and awkward. Paulina announces that Celia won. She said her dance was spectacular and Celia was completely shocked. Celia chooses Allison to go with her and pick out jewelry.
TYRA MAIL: At some point, the mama bird needs to push her babies out of the nest.
It’s bright and early the next morning, when the models spot some men walking around their house. Their makeup artist wake them up and start doing hair and makeup. Then they hop on a bus and drive two hours away, when all the sudden there is a broken down car in the road. All the sudden, Tyra Banks jumps out of the car as she will be their photographer today.They are in the middle of the Brazilian jungle and Jay tells them they will be covered in feathers and imitating birds.
Allison is extremely nervous to be posing for Tyra. She’s first up and has to crawl into this sort of nest and squat down. Jay comments that it’s the least nervous Allison has ever seemed. Next up is Aminat and Tyra thinks she had very good body movements, however, the light wasn’t hitting her face in a flattering way. Celia is next and she’s focusing on trying to relax her face and body. Tyra said she wasn’t excited to shoot her at first, but she thought she did a pretty good job. Celia tells Tyra thank you for making her at ease. Teyona is the last model to be shot and Tyra is nervous because they are losing their light and she had too many bulky clothes on. Tyra was very happy with the results and impressed with Teyona’s ability to adapt.
THE JUDGING: Anne Shoket, editor of Seventeen, is the guest judge. Allison is first and the judges think she’s stunning. They were pleased that her giant hair didn’t overshadow her. Teyona is next and the judges feel split down the middle. Half of them love it and the other half is underwhelmed. Celia’s picture is very strong and the love her bone structure. Tyra said it was a pleasure to shoot her. Aminat is last and Tyra said she surprised her because usually her pictures aren’t very strong, but this week she improved. [During the entire judging, Miss Jay has been making bird noises in substitution of his critiques]
The girls are brought back in to receive their photos. The first name called is Allison and she has the best picture of the week. Runner-up for best photo is Teyona and she immediately starts crying since she thought she would be in the bottom two. Aminat and Celia are in the bottom two. Tyra says she enjoyed shooting both of them, but they both only have strength from the bottom down. She points out the problems with their faces translating onto the photos. Aminat is called and Celia is sent home from America’s Next Top Model.
