Tonight is the semi-finals on Dancing With The Starsand after 13 weeks of sacrifice, the competitors have come too far to let their dancing dreams go! The semi-finalists are Shawn and Mark, Melissa and Tony, Ty and Chelsie and Gilles and Cheryl! Tonight they will prove that they are worthy to go on to the finals!
After watching all of the competitors breakthrough dances this season, the first dancers tonight in the Ballroom round were Melissa and Tony doing the Quick Step. Melissa was intimidated by the dance and hoped to get it right. Melissa has an infectious personality and the crowd loves her!
Len said he thought the whole thing was a delight and just gorgeous, Bruno thought that it was good and it was as exilerating as it should have been. Carrie Ann said she agreed with Bruno and felt that she didn’t connect to her soul.
Their scores were 9, 10 and 9 a 28 out of 30.
Up next were Gilles and Cheryl performing a Waltz. Gilles took all of the criticism to heart and really worked on his technique tonight.
Bruno said you look like a couple out there. Carrie Anne said it was breathtaking. Len said hewas giving them a sitting down standing ovation.
Their scores tonight were 10, 10 and 10 a perfect 30!
The third dancers were Shawn and Mark dancing the Argentine Tango. Shawn finds the lifts difficult, but was going to rock it. Her routine was much more sexy than usual.
Carrie Ann said that she delivered the emotional content of more than a 17 year old. Len said that she came out and danced with the maturity he didn’t expect. Bruno said it is Catherine Zeta Shawn!
They received a perfect 30!
The last Ballroom round dancers were Ty and Chelsie dancing the Viennese Waltz. They were going to loosen up and party. The fans went out on the limb for Ty and it shows.
Len said that he doesn’t think that anyone has tried more than Ty to become a dancer. Bruno said that he liked Ty, but he thinks that the dance was liking chasing flies. Carrie Ann said she loved that he can get the whole room generating support for him, but he wobbled.
They received the scores of 8, 9 and 8 a 25 out of 30.
The Latin round was up next and the first dancers were Melissa and Tony. Melissa has gone from the lowest point in her life to the highest and she was determined to let nothing get in her way of the finals. They danced the Cha Cha Cha and it was beautiful.
Bruno said Melissa, I like my Cha Cha full thrust, but at moments you didn’t sustain the energy. Carrie Ann said that she agreed with Bruno. Len said he liked it but not as much as he hoped he would.
They received triple 9′s a 27 out of 30.
The next dancer as Gilles and his partner Cheryl. They danced the Salsa. H-O-T!
Carrie Ann said whoo hoo and that was Gilles Marini at his best. Len said he was speechless and wished he had an eleven paddle. Bruno said Lil’ Kim is alive and hiding in your pants and you deserve to be in the finals.
Their score was…not sure people as the satellite went down…but it should have been 10, 10, 10 a perfect 30!
The next dancers tonight were Shawn and Mark dancing a Jive. Still too gymnastic, but cute!
Len said that one of the keys to great dancing is great music and it was fantastic other than the messing about going on. Bruno said he likes it when they go wild. Carrie Ann said that it was a wonderful performance.
Their score was 9, 8, and 9 a score of 26 out of 30.
