American Idol: Kelly Clarkson May Sing On Twilight Sequel

May 19, 2009 11:00 AM by Britteny Elrick

There have been rumors circulating around the internet that Kelly Clarkson‘s song Did You will be featured on the Twilight sequel, New Moon. Although Kelly is a huge fan of the Twilight series and her song might fit the bill, the studio representatives have made no decisions yet…

Director Chris Weitz of SummitEntertainment says there have been no music decisions made for the movie, that is currently filming in Vancouver. New Moon, which is a much darker film than Twilight, might be very fitting for Kelly’s angry rock ballad Did You. According to E! News, Kelly mentioned via her blog that she is abig fanof the series.

“Finished the Twilight books and we cannot wait for the next movie New Moon,” Kelly wrote on her blog. “Do not judge us, we cannot help ourselves. Now my sister and I are going to read a classic The Divine Comedy. Although it’s a classic it doesn’t have Edward Cullen in it so I pray it holds my attention. Ha!”

Not only is Kelly a huge fan, but so is her fellow finalist Justin Guarini. Apparently, he started a campaign to get himself added to the New Moon Soundtrack by adding “I Can’t Live” on YouTube, along with a note reading, “If you like it, share it, and ask for it to be put in the new Twilight movie.”

Along with Kelly Clarkson they should consider Adam Lambert’s version of “Ring of Fire”. This dark sexy song is perfect for any future Twilight movie.

i agree! I loved that song, I don’t know why the judges gave him such a hard time about it.
