American Idolhopeful, 25 year old Alexis Cohen, was laid to rest yesterday following her sudden and tragic death last week. Several donors helped the family pay for the services and a plot at the Keneseth Israel Cemetery in South Whitefall, just north of Alexis’ hometown of Allentown. Keep reading for more details…
As reported by a local newspaper, The Morning Call, the ceremony was private and did not allow any reporters inside. Although Alexis’ mother declined comment, a friend close to the family said that Alexis’ persona on TV was not a good representation of her kind nature.For the past two years,Alexis has been featured on theAmerican Idol audition shows as a jaded, delusional, and possibly drugged fanatic.
“She could take the worst time, as bad as it was, and turn it into a fun time,” said James Kern, 27, who said he dated Cohen off-and-on for several years. The paper alsoreports thatAlexiswas also an animal-lover who was pursuing a medical career at Montgomery County Community College.
Earlier this week, Daniel Bark was finally charged with vehicular homicide andaggravated manslaughterin the hit-and-run case. He was committed to a New Jersey prison under $150,000 bail.
