Kris Allen, whose album for 19/Jive Records is scheduled to hit this fall, recently said, “Each writing session has been a learning experience. I think that we are trying to figure it out and that it’s going the right way, and I’m really excited about it. I can’t wait.” He also adds that the CD will have a John Mayer/Jason Mraz feel.
Adam Lambertis signed with19/RCA Records and has teamed up with producers RedOne (Lady GaGa) and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic (Beyonce, Jordin Sparks), along with Sam Sparro and Jim Jonsin. According to a report at MSNBC.com, Tedder said of Lambert,”He can sing so many different styles of music. I think he can be a global superstar; there’s not a doubt in my mind.”
And then there’s Jason. Those who fell in love with Jason’s acoustic serenades on Idol will be thrilled to death with his new album. Jason has signed with Atlantic Records and executive Pete Ganberg said, ‘It’s introspective, playful and very much a combination of his influences, which range from Jeff Buckley to Jack Johnson.”
Jason reportedly wrote 11 of the 14 songs on the CD. “I’m really excited about the music we’ve written,” said Castro. “I’m ready to get out there and show it to the world.”
