Simon Cowellmay have given Paula Abdul a hard time while they were on the American Idoljudges panel together, but when it comes down to it, poor little Simon is distraught without his buddy. PEOPLE caught up with Simon while he was at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver getting ready to film auditions. Keep reading to find out what he had to say…
“I’m going to miss her. She’s my buddy,” Simon told PEOPLE. Although he said that he’s spoken to her almost every day since she quit, he isn’t sure how things will go without her around.”Paula has been very cool about the whole thing. And let me tell you, Paula is going to be fine,” he continued.
“I am so missing Paula. That’s why I’m in black mourning,”Kara DioGuardi chimed in. “I’m very sad. I talked to her last week. It’s sad, but it was her choice.” Randy Jacksonis also feeling the loss.”I talked to [Paula] a couple days ago and she’s going to be great. We all love her. I think I may cry today. It’s weird,” he added.
