Big Brother 11: Tears For Jessie

August 16, 2009 07:00 PM by Ryan Haidet

For those of you who follow Big Brother closely, you know the last few days have gone crazy. After Jeff used his power of Coup D’Etat on Thursday to get Jessie out of the house, a storm was brewing with Chima. She was livid that Jessie was gone and Russell could stay. Her anger apparently got the best of her, because producers have now removed Chima from the game. With fans chatting online about her removal, Big Brother decided to save that moment for Tuesday night’s episode. Instead of a drama-filled fight fest, all we got was a lot of tears and deals. Disappointing.

Back to Thursday

When Jeff used his power of Coup D’Etat, most of the women in the house were very upset with his decision. Chima questioned his actions immediately with anger in her voice. She was especially disgusted that Russell was still in the game and Jessie was kicked out. Lydia, Natalie and Chima each had tearful confessionals about Jessie’s departure.

Those weren’t the first tears they shed for Meathead, either. Yuck.

Question Marks & Promises

When Michele stepped into power as the latest Head Of Household, the rest of the house was uncertain where she stood. Nobody seemed sure who she would target, which left most people nervous for their safety.

But Chima had one plan intact — to make sure Russell is the next person evicted from the house.

In the backyard, Russell and Jeff had a chat about what happened during the last eviction. Russell felt like he owed Jeff for saving him from the chopping block. So to return the favor, Russell promised that if they were nominated together and he won the Power Of Veto, that he would use it to save his Jeff. It was a very nice gesture, but we all know how easily promises in the Big Brother house get broken.

Sobbing For Jessie

Jeff, Jordan and Russell sat outside and shared a meal while Natalie, Lydia and Chima sat indoors and basically mourned Jessie’s eviction. It was hard for the outdoor group to see why the girls were crying so hard. Kevin thought it was a bit ridiculous that the girls were so emotional — almost like Jessie had just been hit by a truck. “Please girls, the guy was an idiot,” he said in a confessional.

The girls all shared their feelings for Jessie and talked about good memories they had with him. I know it’s tough losing a close friend, but it’s a game! He’s still living! It’s not as if you’ll never see him again. Sheesh! Isn’t this the same arrogant guy from last summer who America despised? How is it possible he pulled such a powerful trance over all these women?

After a goofy Luxury Competition, Natalie and Chima worked their strategy suggestions on Michele. They both wanted her to target Russell for eviction, but Michele already her plans set in motion. When Chima walked into the HOH bedroom, Michele told her that she wouldn’t like her nominations. But Chima wasn’t backing down and went on the warpath against Russell. “He may be your end game if you don’t put him up,” Chima said.

Michele’s Nominees

Although everybody in the house was giving Michele advice on who to nominate for eviction, she ultimately made the decision herself and targeted Chima and Natalie. Michele said it was because Chima was one of the toughest competitors in the house.

But as I mentioned in the first few sentences of this recap, Chima has since been removed from the Big Brother house by producers (even though she has released a statement saying she quit). Various sites are reporting that Michele is no longer the HOH. Instead, a new competition was held and (SPOILER ALERT) Jordan won the power to be HOH. What does this mean for the double eviction episode that had been promised for this Thursday night? Who knows. But what we do know is that Chima will not be a member of the jury due to the situation involving her removal.

Wow. Tuesday’s episode should be good.

I am so glad Chima is leaving. I was so sick of her spoiled attitude and she had a nasty language. I thouht my tv had problems because of all the bleeps. She has some real issues. I know she is a survivor but that I’m the best attitude will get you no where in life. I don’t believe she left voluntarily. She has too much pride for that. She knew she was the next to leave per the fans. Great job Jeff…Jessie your ok but you too think your poop don’t stink.

I was raped at the age of 18 and believe me it effects your life. I do not go around however treating others bad and that’s what chima did. Her attitude the whole show was so bad. Game or no game I can bet her Grandparents were disappointed in your behavior on the last show.

I wonder if the poor loser (Chima) is going to get her stipend???? If you ask me, she shouldn’t. Poor loser. Boo Hoo, a power that nobody has ever used before (even though it has been handed out before) was used to ruin my plans. Boo Hoo. Don’t you remember the BB slogan Chima?? Expect the unexpected!!! Good Riddance!
