On tonight’s Dating In The Dark, a photographer, a hardcore nerd, a good looking teacher, a newly divorced designer, an executive assistant, and a bartender search for love in the dark. One single is deeply disappointed, another leaves heartbroken, while one lucky pair find love in the dark room on Dating In The Dark.
Dion is 37 and was the first single toarrive at the Dating In The Dark mansion. He is a photographer and said he dates many women, but wants to settle down and have a family. He said he is used to judging people on physical appearance, so this was a brand new experience for him. Dion is not a bad looking guy, but don’t know where he gets off judging others on the way they look!
Leo is 26 and described himself as a hardcore nerd. He is a graphic designer and loves video games, so he’s looking for a compassionate, understanding woman. Leo seemed really nice, but a bit too anxious.
Malek is 29 and is a musician and teacher. He said he is often judged because he is Muslim, but his looks have helped him get dates. Malek is very good looking and the accent doesn’t hurt!
The first woman to enter the mansion was Lisa who is 39, a designer, and has been divorced for a year. She said she attracts men because of her looks so she is anxious to see have someone attracted to her for what she’s like on the inside. Lisa looks great and before they told her age, I thought she was in her 20s!
Tanya is 24 and works as an executive assistant. She is a larger sized woman, which she acknowledged. She said men are usually interested in her personality first and her looks later. Tanya is very cute and seems to be very intelligent.
Tawny is 29 and described herself as loud and outgoing. She is a bartender and said men are intimidated by her boldness. She was brash, bold, and talked way too much!
The men and women met in the dark room for the initial group date. Tawny overpowered the conversation and intimidated most of the men.
Next, the women were given 10 minutes to search the men’s cars and the men did the same with the women’s cars. Dan’s car was very clean; Leo’s car had some dents and he had weird gadgets in the trunk; and Malek had condoms in the center console. The women were not too keen on Malek’s car accessories!
Lisa’s car was nice; Tanya had a journal filled with poems in her car; and Tawny had some very cool rocker boots and cigarettes in her car.
The first invitations were made for dates and Lisa and Dion picked one another. They both liked to travel and held hands. Malek invited Tanya into the dark room. She brought up the condoms in his car and he was totally embarrassed, but emphasized that he was a concerned, safe guy. Leo invited Tanya and it did not go well. He wanted a kiss and she was not having it. No one invited Tawny, but she invited Leo. They slow danced and seemed to have a great time, but no romantic connection.
Next, the singles were told who they were most compatible with, and Tawny and Dion were matched; Lisa and Malek were paired; and Tanya and Leo were compatible. Tawny and Dion went on their first compatibility date, but he didn’t like the way she talked constantly! He was totally turned off and she was so annoying. Lisa and Malek tried their compatibility date, but Lisa was a bit suspicious of Malek and his worldly ways, so there was no connection. Tanya and Leo met up to try their hand at being compatible, but there was no chemistry between them whatsoever.
Next, the singles went back to choosing their own dates and Lisa and Dion chose each other again, and felt really comfortable with one another. Tawny chose Leo again and wanted him to dance and then she danced for himâ⬔even though they couldn’t see each other. Weird. Tanya invited Malek again and they talked about music and seemed to really connect on a deep intellectual level.
The final dates were ladies choice, so if course, Lisa chose Dion. On the date she asked him whether he would still want to go out with her if she was not good looking. He was truthful and said that would probably change his feelings for her. Pretty shallow Dion!
Tanya chose Malek and asked him to say something romantic to her in Arabic. He whispered in her ear, “you’re a very beautiful person, inside and out.” That was so cool.
Tawny chose Leo for the final date, but there just wasn’t a romantic spark there for her. Leo, on the other hand, really liked Tawny’s personality and was hoping for more.
Next professional sketch artists drew what each single thought their dates looked like. The pictures were exchanged so each could see what the other thought and Lisa’s image of Dion and Tawny’s view of Leo were both uncannily accurate!
