Survivor Samoa: Contestants Speak About New Season

August 30, 2009 09:00 AM by Britteny Elrick

The newest cast of Survivor: Samoa met up with Entertainment Tonight to discuss how they feel about their fellow castaways and the start of their new journey to outwit and outlast.  Some are feeling confident, while others are a bit freaked out.  Keep reading to see what they had to say…

“I’m looking forward to meeting the people and assessing out their personalities.  There are definitely are some wackos here,” said Elizabeth.  Eric the bartender added, “I’m a franchise… you can’t live without me.”  I think I like Elizabeth.

Some of the contestants are feeling quite confident in their ability to manipulate the others. “You can call me the puppet master,” bragged Russell Hantz, an oil company owner. “When I tell them to run, they’ll run. When I tell them to stop, they’ll stop. And when I am finished with them, I will throw them in the trash.”

“You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to win Survivor but if you need one, here I am,” said John Fincher, a 25-year-old rocket scientist.  Wait, sorry Elizabeth.  I now want John to win because who ever meets a real-life rocket scientist?  “They actually look like they would be fun to hang out with,” he added of his fellow castaways.
