On last week’s premiere of America’s Next Top Model cycle 13, Lisa Ramos was the first model to be sent home. Lisa, who was originally eliminated after making it to the top 20, was called back to the competition after Amber left for personal reasons. Keep reading to hear Lisa’s thoughts regarding her time on the show and her future plans…
Topmodelgossip.com:Â Why were you eliminated?
I didn’t let my personality shine though. I’m pretty laid back, I’m not a shouter or a squealer. I go with the flow and that came across as someone who wasn’t energetic or enthusiastic. It made me look like I didn’t want to be there enough and that’s why I got the boot.
Topmodelgossip.com:Â Do you feel your height will put you at a greater disadvantage in your modeling career?
It’s not an extra obstacle for me as a model. Everyone has a different feature they need to play down or overcome to be a successful model. Take Tyra. She was always telling us about how she has big boobs and that’s not good for fashion. She worked hard to draw attention away from that and be high fashion and look where she is now. My height is just like that. On the show, it was great to be around girls even shorter than me. I loved that our height didn’t matter, it was actually a reason we were there. It was cool to be in a situation where my height actually helped.
Topmodelgossip.com:Â What are your future plans?
I plan to finish my degree then hit the pavement to visit agencies and try to get signed. Modeling is my passion and I’m going to do whatever it takes.
