It was a double dose of spooky investigations and stories on tonight’s episode of Ghost Hunters. First up, the guys from TAPS headed to the Union County Courthouse in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This is where the spirit of the first woman killed in the American Revolution is said to lurk. What did they capture? Read on to find out…
Upon their arrival, the sheriff took them on a tour of the facility. He told them all of the ghastly stories connected to the courthouse including ones involving Hannah Caldwell — the first female casualty in the American Revolution. Several people at the courthouse have claimed to see her spirit roaming around.
After their tour, they shut the lights out and started the late-night investigation.
A trio of the investigators stood in the rotunda doing an EVP session and had been snapping pictures when one of them heard footsteps twice.
In another moment, one of the investigators claimed to see a shadow walk by. But after nothing too thrilling happened during the investigation, they wrapped everything up and turned the lights back on.
During a review of the evidence, they found two pieces of video from the record room. The first featured a constant movement of some sort in the record room. Some thought it was a spirit, but Grant immediately realized it was simply a piece of paper taped to the wall that was fluttering around. The second video in the record room showed somebody walking into the camera shot and then vanishing in the distance.
At the reveal, Jason and Grant showed the sheriff the video they had captured. The sheriff was impressed with the footage, which showed the apparation walking through the room and vanishing along a path no solid person could follow.
A House Of Mystery
The next investigation involved a home in New Hampshire that had been built in the 1800s. The homeowners have a 1-year-old daughter and the family was hoping to be able to explain the weird happenings.
Once TAPS arrived, the homeowner provided a tour while telling them all the tales of ghostly experiences including moving tables, shaking beds and a stereo that turns on without explanation.
Once the investigation started, the TAPS team was quickly able to debunk multiple claims of paranormal activity. One involving a round run that is said to slowly move across the floor over the period of several days. But Steve and Tango found that the scuffle of feet on the floor was the likely reason the rug was slowly moving around. Not the result of a ghost.
When some of the investigators were downstairs, the radio in the attic turned on by itself just as the homeowner had claimed. But after looking into the situation, they realized there was an alarm clock function that caused the radio to blare. You have got to be kidding me?!?!?! How could this happen so frequently for this family to not check the alarm clock? Wow. That’s all. Wow.
During the reveal of evidence, Jason and Grant told the homeowner all of the things they were able to debunk — doors that opened on their own, the moving rug and the radio. They did not capture a single piece of evidence.
No ghost there.
