American Idol: Paula Abdul Weighs In On Her Replacement

September 17, 2009 03:36 PM by Britteny Elrick

Everyone seems to have an opinion regarding the recent news that Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul on this season of American Idol. So what does the pint-sized former judge have to say about this?  Find out what Paula said in her first interview since hearing the news…

According to Usmagazine.com, Paula told the Johnjay and Rich Show, “It’s just going to be a different show.”  When asked if she has had any mental breakdowns regarding her decision to leave she said, ”I think that happened during the time I was making that difficult decision [to leave], where I was fighting with myself back and forth. Am I willing to go against what my beliefs are and have the same outcome?”

As far as her future plans, Paula said, “I am doing so many things, I can’t wait to tell you. I see myself…such a big part of what I’ve been doing is helping other people realize their dreams. I’ve only scratched the surface of things I want to do.”

“So I’m actually getting to do all the things that represent who I am. People have no idea,” she concluded.
