So You Think You Can Dance – Men Dominate Boston

That is surely what it looked like on this week’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance on FOX, where they took us to Boston, MA. For all you female viewers, you are going to LOVE this week’s episode! With the exception of 2 females, the men dominated this evening’s auditions.
We had our fair share of awesome performances tonight. In the quickest ticket in history ever on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX , we met Jean, who was absolutely incredible to the point of dancing while on his hands, I cannot wait to see what he does next! Then we were graced with yet another Gene, whom I thought, was completely full of himself. While the judges let him through, they also advised him that he needed to “control his eyebrows” as they were very distracting – they looked like that had a mind of their own.
Some of the other male performances, such as Russell and his krump dancing; Kevin, a season 3 returnee; Teddy and his checkered pants, and Kimara impressed the judges and all got their ticket. Some, however were not as lucky. Ryan, a 6’8 tap dancer just couldn’t get the coordination right, although his feet moved beautifully – maybe basketball will come through for him instead.
Of course, So You Think You Can Dance couldn’t dare go without our share of strange dancers. Tonight we met Paul, a 46 year old showing us way too much in his very tight blue spandex. I have no idea what he was doing, but it certainly was not dancing, yet very disturbing. The judges were besides themselves with laughter and Nigel told him he was too old anyway.
By the close of the evening, Tyce had enough and let loose on the performers…nothing like telling a performer they looks like constipation, or their performance was like nails on a chalkboard to get the point across, even though some of these people still looked confused.
On a few more positive notes, we did get a So You Think You Can Dance first tonight, when a smoking hot husband & wife team were sent through to Las Vegas, as well as our only female performer seen, an 18 year old ice cream shop employee. Overall it was a very entertaining hour, and definitely a good one for the ladies to watch!
