Ghost Hunters: Meatloaf Madness
September 30, 2009 08:43 PM by Ryan Haidet

The Ghost Hunters on SyFy scared up a helping of Meatloaf tonight — and I’m not talking dinner. Meatloaf the musician, who is a friend of Jason and Grant, joined up for the evening to participate in the ghostly investigation of a private island in New York.
Once they all arrived one of the residents gave them a tour and told them spooky tales of ghostly happenings around the location including full-bodied apparations. There were tons of reports of paranormal activity, and the guys had their work cut out for them. Thank goodness Meatloaf was there to help. He vowed to chase down any shadows they see inside.
Dead Batteries
After setting up their cameras, the TAPS team went lights out and started their investigation. While they were upstairs on the third floor, Meatloaf’s camcorder battery, his microphone battery and one of the SyFy camera batteries died instantly.

In the main house, the trio of spirit seekers moved on into a different bedroom where they thought a shadow may have just walked by.
Answers By Lights
One of their meters started lighting up almost like the ghost was responding to Meatloaf’s questions. After getting quite a few flashing responses, the team asked the spirit to move something inside the house. Suddenly there was a banging sound. Moments later it happened again — it was the sound of a nearby door opening and closing. Creepy. Meatloaf said that during that time the air got really heavy and thick.
The questioning continued with the device flashing almost for every question. Although the guys seemed extremely impressed, I was incredibly bored watching three people talk to a device with flashing lights. This took far too long and had me losing interest rather quickly.
Moving Water
The most-eerie event during the investigation happened when Meatloaf set a bottle of water down in the bathroom near a window and asked the spirit to move it around. The guys turned around and started to see a shadow walking near the bathroom. Moments later, they noticed the water bottle was moved to the top of the toilet. “No, come on!” Meatloaf exclaimed.

If somebody in production didn’t move the water, then this was a very creepy moment. But who truly knows if that was legit other than the people there?
After spending all night there, the team wrapped up the investigation and started reviewing the evidence. When it came time for the reveal, the other piece of physical evidence they captured were some banging sounds. But they did have a ton of personal experiences from their night there.
What did we ever do without Meatloaf on the show? Hahaha!
