It’s no secret that Dancing With The Stars seems to be the best diet plan around. Season after season, we watch as celebrities shed excess pounds after only a few weeks of competing on the show. Life & Style spoke to some of this year’s celebrities and dancers to talk to them about their exercise routines and what they eat to keep their metabolisms at their best.
Dancer Karina Smirnoff told Life & Style that she normally has egg whites with spinach and tomato for breakfast, fruit for lunch, and salad and fish for dinner. “Listen to your body,” she said. “There are foods that your system will digest easily and others it will struggle with. Of course, fruits and veggies are always good.”
Kelly Osbourne, who has had a longtime struggle with her weight, said that dancing is the only thing that has kept her slim. “I do five hours of rehearsals a day — sometimes even six,” she said of the 14 pounds she’s already lost. Kelly also revealed that she no longer snacks late at night and drinks 6 glasses of water each day.
Mya, who has lost over 11 pounds in only a month, said that she also incorporates twice-daily running into her routine in order to keep the metabolism going. “My body has gotten more toned,” she said. “I’m seeing a lot more definition, especially in my arms.”
