Jon & Kate: First Day Of School

Jon Gosselin finally made an appearance after several weeks missing from the hit reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8. But before that moment, just prior to their first day of school, Kate Gosselin took the kids shopping to make sure they had everything they needed. So she took them to a shoe store for the first time ever since she typically buys them their shoes online. This way each kid could choose their own shoes.
After each of the kids picked out their new kicks, Kate gathered them all up and boarded the van. It looked as if the store had closed off to the public so Kate and her family could shop, because when the family went outside, there were loads of fans waiting.
Kate said her opinions of fans has changed completely from a few years ago when she was irritated by them. Now she feels extremely supported by the fans who have been helping her through the recent tough times.
The night before school started, Kate was busy with her organization to make sure the lunches were packed and ready to go. Kate said seeing all eight of the lunchboxes lined up was “amazing.” She was very emotional about letting her babies go. “I dreaded the empty house,” Kate said.
After the kids hopped into bed, Kate issued a warning that she was going to be having a tough time the next morning.
After an early morning, Kate gathered them together on the front steps and took a picture of them all ready for their first day of school. Jon made an appearance that morning and helped send them off to school. Kate was surprised to see him, because she thought he was in Las Vegas.
Kate was ready to get some work done around the house, but she was struggling with the concept of splitting the time with the kids between Jon and the school.
