The Bachelor: Jake Pavelka Gets A Second Chance At Love

On a very dramatic (but when is it not?) season of The Bachelorette, Jake Pavelka got his heart broken by Jillian Harris. However, that didn’t stop the wholesome Dallas pilot from flying back to inform Jillian of Wes’ bad intentions in hopes of sparing her pain. Well, it just so happens that now Jake will get a chance to make his own drastic love mistakes when he returns as the next Bachelor!
“It’s such a unique opportunity,” Pavelka told Usmagazine.com after the announcement on Tuesday. “I still cannot believe this is happening. How did I get here?” Well, that’s a good question Jake. And I’m willing to bet money this might be the most dramatic season in Bachelor history!
Jake continued to say that he learned quite a few pointers by watching himself pursue Jillian. “It was good I got to watch an actual first date on TV,” he told Us. “I was like, ‘Oh! Tone it down a bit!’ That’s what I took away from The Bachelorette. I was just so excited. I wanted her to like me because she’s so gorgeous and such a great person. And I tried just a little too hard.”
When asked to describe his dream girl, he said, “I’m going to look deep into the heart for character. The four most important things to me are similar qualities — someone who is romantic, passionate, compassionate and protective … and will laugh at my jokes!”
The new season of The Bachelor will premiere in early 2010 on ABC. We can’t wait!
