Dancing With The Stars: Natalie Coughlin Is Bummed To Leave

October 22, 2009 11:00 AM by Britteny Elrick

Tuesday night was the end of the dance floor for Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo after they danced an unsatisfactory paso doble.  The pair had received a mere 22 points for their efforts, which placed them in the bottom two along with Karina Smirnoff and Aaron Carter. Keep reading to hear what Natalie and her fellow dancers had to say…

The judges were outwardly upset to see the pair leave Dancing With The Stars.  Len said that he was heartbroken and Carrie went on to say how disappointed she was.“I’m pretty bummed,” a tearful Natalie said after her elimination. “You can’t prepare for it,” Natalie said. “I’ll survive but it’s not life or death.”

Later on, Natalie spoke with People.com and said, “I enjoyed the entire process. I enjoyed making good friendships along the way. I enjoyed the training. It’s been wonderful.”  “We get along really well,” said her partner, Mazo. “I made a very good friend and I hope we get to see each other again.”

While they were there, People also spoke to fellow contestant Kelly Osbourne.  “You get so close to everyone,” Kelly said. “And after, I thought, ‘It shouldn’t have been Natalie.’ And then I thought, ‘Who should it have been?’ I couldn’t pick anyone on that stage. It’s harder and harder every week.”
