Kathy Griffin To Host New Reality Show ‘Let’s Dance’

November 03, 2009 01:00 PM by Britteny Elrick

Congratulations ABC, this actually sounds like a good idea. Those of you who will be suffering Dancing With The Stars withdrawals this December have nothing to fear. Kathy Griffin will be hosting a new reality dancing show, Let’s Dance, to premiere immediately after the Dancing With The Stars finale on November 23.

But this isn’t going to be like all the other dance shows.  No one is trying to lose weight or obtain a big, shiny disco ball trophy. Celebrity contestants will be reenacting famous routines from past musicals, movies, or music videos.

“The competition will be hot — and hilarious — as teams of celebrities pay comedic homage to famous dances while competing for a $250,000 grand prize for their favorite charity,” according to the press release. “The show will include single dancers, duos and groups, all competing against each other to wow a panel of judges and viewers across America who will be voting each week leading up to the series finale.”

The panel of judges and celebrity contestants has yet to be announced, but Kathy Griffin will be hosting the live weekly dance-offs.

Hopefully, she can learn how to censor her mouth for primetime. Otherwise, this should be real interesting!
