American Idol finalist, Jennifer Hudson, will be starring in an hour-long primetime Christmas special this holiday season. ABC has announced that Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home For Christmas will air on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 8PM ET/PT.
The show will feature Hudson singing popular holiday songs such as “O Holy Night” and “Silent Night,” but will also follow her throughout her hometown of Chicago.Â Hudson will take us to see places that evoke special childhood memories and locations that have influenced her musically.
The special will also have a guest appearance by Michael Buble, who will perform duets with Hudson such as: “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and “Let It Snow.”
But Jennifer Hudson isn’t the only former Idol that will be coming to your TV sets this holiday season. Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special, a two-hour variety special, will air the week before Hudson’s holiday special on Monday, December 7 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.
