The Food Network has announced its newest reality TV series, Worst Cooks In America. The show will take cooks with no talent whatsoever and put them through a culinary training program led by chefs Anne Burrell and Beau MacMillan. Then they will compete in elimination challenges, where they have a chance at winning $25,000.  Keep reading for more details…

The recruited cooks will be divided into two teams: Chef Anne’s and Chef Beau’s.  After going through culinary boot camp, the chefs will be eliminated week after week during intense challenges. When two final chefs are left, they must go head to head in creating a three-course, restaurant quality meal for a panel of critics that are under the assumption that they were created by Anne and Beau.

“Watching the Worst Cooks in America struggle to become great cooks, makes a show that is very funny, dramatic and moving,” said Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, Food Network. “Ultimately, it offers hope for even the most kitchen-challenged of our viewers.”

The show premieres Sunday, January 3rd at 10 pm ET/PT on The Food Network.
