America’s Next Top Model: Kimora Lee Simmons To Replace Miss J On Judges Panel

November 12, 2009 03:56 PM by Britteny Elrick

Drama, drama, drama. And this time it isn’t among the models, it’s among the judges. It was reported today that Miss J Alexander will no longer be serving on the America’s Next Top Model judges’ panel.  His replacement? None other than former model and reality TV star, Kimora Lee Simmons, who previously served as a judge on the show’s debut season.

So what’s happening to Miss J?  Well, he will continue to serve as the runway coach for the show, however, he will no longer be gracing the judge’s panel.  Also joining the panel?  Vogue editor-at-large, Andre Leon Talley. “No one is sure why Miss J has been demoted from being a judge back to just doing the runway coaching,” a source told the Daily News.

Miss J hasn’t been the only judge to get the axe. Remember Paulina Porizkova and Janice Dickinson? “Tyra is obsessed with people’s perception of her and was not happy when Porizkova and Dickinson said they didn’t get along,” said the source. “So Tyra called Kimora to prove the notion [that she doesn't work well with others] wrong.”
