Carrie Ann Inaba To Have Spinal Surgery

November 26, 2009 01:00 PM by Britteny Elrick

Carrie Ann Inaba, everyone’s favorite female Dancing With The Stars judge, is undergoing surgery next week in L.A. According to a report by PEOPLE, the operation is supposed to help relieve pressure and stiffness that Carrie has been experiencing in her neck.

Carrie’s pain is being caused by a condition referred to as spinal stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal canal often caused by an injury or arthritis. “I have arthritis. The space around my spinal cord has become compressed,” Carrie told PEOPLE. “I have been locked. My neck was so stiff. We’re hoping this procedure will relieve that.”

“I’ll be fine and if this surgery goes well, I may have another one in the future,” Carrie added. She still plans on attending this weekend’s Dizzy Feet Foundation Celebration of Dance fundraiser. Carrie helped found Dizzy Feet and has been heavily involved in the foundation.
