On a brand new episode of So You Think You Can Dance on FOX our top 10 performed for us. We got to see some new couples tonight, as well as solo performances. The rules have changed as well from this point on, so keep reading to find out who did what and how you can keep your favorites in for another week!
Everything changed tonight on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX as our couples were mixed up and each individual had to perform a solo as well. We got to know a little about each of our top 10 contestants, and starting this week the judges no longer have a say in who goes home, it’s all up to you, America! So let’s see who got paired up and how they did!
Noelle and Ryan were the first up tonight on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX and they blew us away not once, but twice. They performed a hip hop routine and had instant chemistry that was off the charts. After that, they performed a smooth waltz that was absolutely breathtaking and left us wanting more. These two should definitely be around for another week.
Ashleigh and Legacy performed next for us. Their first routine was a contemporary number and it was on fire, which is normal for these two but a first for them together. However, their second routine, a hip hop number was a bit too scary for me. They didn’t seem to get in sync on this one as they did in the first performance. So, if they base it on tonight, I think these two are in danger, but based on past weeks I think they have built up quite a fan base.
Nathan and Kathryn graced the stage after a few solos. They did great in their first routine which was a broadway number and they also had instant chemistry for a new couple. Their second number however did not go as well as they tried to pull off a rumba that came off more awkward than anything. I hate to say it, but I think this couple is in the most danger after tonight’s performance on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX.
Ellenore and Jakob rocked the house tonight on So You Think You Can Dance. They performed a quickstep, which was incredible and completely different than the previous quickstep we had seen on the show. They were perfect in this as well as their contemporary piece. What I thought would be an unusual pairing actually turned out to be one of the best of the evening. I sure hope these two don’t go anywhere, they certainly shouldn’t after tonight.
Russell and Mollee closed the show tonight. Another pair that I was unsure of at first just because they are so different, also turned out to be a huge surprise for us. They performed a lyrical jazz number first which was definitely Mollee’s spotlight however you couldn’t ignore how graceful and perfectly Russell danced. Following that they performed an energy filled jive number and lit the stage on fire. After the previous couple, we didn’t think it could get much better and it did. Both of these dancers deserve to stay on another week.
Now it’s up to you America, your votes will decide which guy and which girl go home tomorrow. Remember, we are voting on individual dancers tonight, not couples. Good Luck to all our dancers! Be sure to tune in next tomorrow at 8 pm EST to So You Think You Can Dance on FOX to find out who will be sent home after your votes. See you after the show.
