The Biggest Loser goes partially into the hands of America tonight as America’s vote will slim down the Losers from four to three. With none of the Losers really getting on the nerves of America, it would be a tough choice for either a, two girls and a guy finale or a two guys and a girl finale. Surely America will stay with Amanda since they put her there to begin with and she has earned a place in the finale.

Looking at the group, Liz has skirted elimination more than once, if not but for Danny, so she may be the one America sees as the least deserving. Either way, it may well come down to who America perceives at working hardest at home as to the person deserving a final weigh-in.

The Losers all headed home with less than when they left. Even though they all received a hero’s welcome, the final four still had to work like they were in the finale and, of course, the inevitable marathon was looming right around the corner.

Amanda started at 250 pounds; Liz began at 267 pounds; Danny’s journey began at 430 pounds and Rudy tilted the scales at 432 pounds as we saw the “Second Chance” theme played out in a quick montage leading up to week twelve and the Losers heading home. Host Alison Sweeney told the Losers they were headed home for sixty days and then back to the ranch for a final weigh-in with America voting between the bottom two.

As nice as it was seeing the Losers get greeted when they arrived home to their family and friends, the reality of being back with the temptations that put them at the ranch to begin with, quickly sunk in. Each of the Losers took a turn at wanting to know the reasons they allowed themselves to become obese in the first place and all seemed to be caught in an eddy of emotions as they asked themselves the tough questions.

The Losers all received a video from The Biggest Loser that took them each down memory lane, as if they needed to see that again. At the end of the video, Bob and Jillian gave encouragement to each of the Losers, told them that they were all worthy but that they were all running a marathon before returning to the ranch for the 60 day weigh-in.

Curtis Stone showed up at Danny’s house and you could tell that the poor guy had never been to Oklahoma before in his life, well, at least it seemed like it. Danny and the other losers were then visited by trainers Bob and Jillian and they all seemed shocked to see the two trainers.

Jillian was a bit concerned about Liz as she seemed a bit isolated on her farm with no real support system to encourage her; Danny was having problems “Fitting in” with the family and finding his focus to work out; Bob found Rudy full of excuses as to why he wasn’t working out as much and Amanda seemed to be the only one who was consumed with the task-at-hand but knew that she could easily slip back into the abyss.

Wow, what an inspiring bunch! After watching all of them prepare for the marathon, I can tell you I was very impressed with Amanda’s work ethic. Wouldn’t it be a hoot to see America’s choice win it all. Host Alison Sweeney told the four Losers that they were running a grueling 26.2 miles and that, if they finished, they would get a fat $10,000 check for a charity of their choice.

Danny and Liz stayed together at the back of the pack as Amanda and Rudy decided to pal around together at the front. Rudy opened up a gap between he and Amanda and past Losers, like Tara from Season 7, started to filter on the course to encourage the four Losers.

Danny was struggling at mile 6 and Liz was wondering if she was going to be on her own and at around mile 17, Amanda was thinking about giving up. I suppose if one thing can be said about Amanda, it is that she is a bit inconsistent and is prone to wanting to quit more than should be expected.

Man, this group looked as though they were all quitting, especially Danny, but Amanda got her second-wind and looked to finish strong. Rudy, too, found his second wind and finished in 5 hours and 12 minutes and some change. Amanda came in at 5 hours and 28 minutes with Danny and Liz way off the mark. Danny and Liz encouraged each other and they managed to finish together at the 6 hour and 55 minute mark.

The Final Weigh-In Before the Finale

Alison told Liz, Danny, Rudy and Amanda that two would fall below the yellow line and two were headed into the finale. America would choose the third and then marched them up to the big scale for the finale time at the ranch.

Liz was first on the scale and lost a respectable 16 pounds while at home for a 8.08%

Amanda managed a 16 pound weight loss as well for an 8.60% weight loss and the top spot so far.

Danny had a whopping 59 pound weight loss for a massive 20.49% weight loss and guaranteed himself a finale spot.

Rudy was the last one to weigh in and lost an incredible 43 pounds for a 14.53% and it looked like America was voting for one of the women.

The women gave impassioned pleas and Amanda’s was a bit more persuasive and America does have a vested interest in her, but it is America’s vote that counts.
