Only a few days ago, Carrie Ann Inaba was admitted to the hospital where she underwent surgery to treat spinal stenosis. The condition had caused Carrie to have stiffness and pressure in her back and neck areas, which rendered her unable to dance. Keep reading to hear how Carrie is recovering…

Even though she had only been out of the hospital for a couple days, Carrie wouldn’t miss the Dizzy Feet Foundation benefit for anything. “I have to be here,” she told E! “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Even if I was in a neck brace, I’d be here right now.”

“My back and neck were locked up,” Inaba said of her condition. “I have arthritis. I wasn’t able to move pretty much the whole season. It’s nice to have my motion back.” And from the sound of things, Carrie isn’t wasting any time in getting back on the dance floor. “I have class Monday, Wednesday and Friday,” she added. “I’m back to my normal schedule and I can’t wait!”
