Melissa Rycroft’s Wedding Workout Plan

Melissa Rycroft‘s wedding is only a couple weeks away, which means she is kicking her workout routine into high gear. Although she says that her time on Dancing With The Stars got her off to a good start, she still wanted to continue sculpting that petite body of hers. Keep reading for more details…

“I was lucky that I had a jump start,” Melissa said of her time on DWTS. “I figured, ‘This is perfect. I’m really in peak physical condition.’ I felt like I looked better than I did when I was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader as a teenager!”

She added that she tries to work out at home for about an hour and a half, four days a week. Why no gym? Melissa says that it intimidates her and it’s too hard to get motivated to leave. “I had my dress sized to my body, not to a size I wanted to be. But every bride wants to look like a toned version of themselves,” she continued. “I’ve definitely upped the workouts and changed them to focus on my arms and shoulders, because that’s what shows in a wedding dress — not so much your legs.”

Of course, on top of the workouts, Melissa is trying to watch what she eats. “I’m not a good dieter in the sense that I can’t completely cut out carbs or fats,” she says. “So we’ve cut fat, sugar and sodium in moderation. I just eat healthy. But if my body craves something, I give in to it. If I don’t, I’ll binge.”

The new season of The Bachelor will premiere in early 2010 on ABC.
