So You Think You Can Dance: Adam Lambert To Sing For Finale

December 08, 2009 11:00 AM by Britteny Elrick

Well, ABC might have a problem with Mr. No Telling What He’ll Do, but FOX certainly does not. After all, FOX can probably thank Adam Lambert for quite a bit of publicity and viewership during last season’s American Idol. It just so happens that Adam will be singing at the So You Think You Can Dance finale on December 15th & 16th…

During his first time returning to FOX since Idol, Adam will be singing “Whataya Want From Me” on the two-part season finale of SYTYCD. Although ABC canceled Adam’s Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve appearances, they have since softened up a bit.

After receiving hundreds of complaints from GLAAD, ABC has decided to welcome Adam back into the fold. Adam will be performing on The View this Thursday and will also be appearing on Barbara Walter’s 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009. Hey, how about that?

“ABC has taken a step towards fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on The View,” Jarrett Barrios, President of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), told Usmagazine.com. “GLAAD has been advocating against the double standards that have been applied to Lambert as an openly gay performer. We thank community members and allies for voicing their concerns with ABC so that entertainers like Adam have the opportunity to be broadcast into living rooms across America.”
