Keep reading to find out!
Tabatha Coffey met her match tonight on Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on BRAVO in Nikki Mallon, owner of Brownes and Co Salon in Miami Fl. Immediately upon reviewing her tapes, Tabatha noticed how unhappy everyone in the salon seemed in turn affecting their work and clients. Upon questioning Nikki about the issue, Nikki blamed her staff accusing them of being lazy. The very next morning during the staff meeting, the staff informed Tabatha that Nikki and her attitude was the real problem.
First, Tabatha set up a meeting with Nikki and her staff so they could lay it all on the line. Hearing that her staff was terrified of her, that she was a bully, and they were sick of being videotaped and humiliated, had absolutely no effect on this slave driving salon owner. Tabatha decided that maybe making over the salon would help change Nikki’s attitude. Again, Tabatha was wrong as Nikki blasted her on how she hated everything Tabatha had done, despite the fact that staff loved the changes. Tabatha was so sick of Nikki’s negativity that she admitted she wanted to punch her in the face.
At reopening day on Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on BRAVO the staff had proven they were ready to embrace the changes and did an excellent job. Nikki, however completely ignored this fact, ranting that her staff will never change. At this point, Tabatha had given up on changing Nikki’s negative attitude and decided to just suggest letting her assistant run the shop hoping it would end up successful. Reluctantly, Nikki agreed as she stated she didn’t even want her keys back and Tabatha was to give them to her assistant.
Tabatha handed the keys over to the assistant and asked that Nikki keep all the cameras out of the salon. Nikki agreed and Tabatha left. Upon returning 6 weeks later, Tabatha learned that everything was back to the way it was when she first visited. Nikki claimed her assistant demoted herself, and her assistant claimed Nikki demoted her. The stylists were back to being micromanaged by Nikki and were unhappy yet again. Unfortunately, it looks like Tabatha was unsuccessful this time, but in the end this salon will probably just go under. Hopefully she will have an easier time next week.
