Ever wish your boss could walk a day in your shoes? Well, that’s exactly what will happen on CBS’s newest reality TV show, Undercover Boss. The show will feature several of America’s chief executives as they ditch their jobs to trade places with their employees. Keep reading for more details…
Undercover Boss will premiere after the Super Bowl onÂ Sunday, February 7th at 10PM ET, and the following week it will return to it’s normal timslot of 9PM ET. “Everyone has daydreamed about watching the boss do their job,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment.Â “The journey of watching a chief executive walk a mile in their employees’ shoes is always very revealing, often humorous and, in some cases, very inspiring.”Â
According to the CBS press release, each week a different executive will step down from their corner offices to work undercover as an employee of their company.Â Throughout the process, the executives willÂ see first hand how their decisionsÂ effect their employeesÂ and also where improvement is needed.Â Companies participating in the show include: Waste Management, 7-Eleven, Hooters, White Castle, and Churchill Downs.
On theÂ premiere episode, Larry O’Donnell, the President and C.O.O. of Waste Management, will work alongside his employees, cleaning porta-potties, sorting waste at one of their recycling plants, collecting garbage from a landfill and even being fired for the first time in his life.Â
