Tonight on an all new episode of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on BRAVO Tabatha Coffey travels to Chicago to tackle an all male salon that runs on a strict time schedule and does not deal with women’s hair at all. With the owner barely spending any time at his salon, will Tabatha be able to get through to him and save this salon before it’s too late? Keep reading to find out!
Upon arriving at the Chicago Male Salon, Tabatha notices numerous things going wrong here on Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on BRAVO. She observes lazy stylists who rush through cuts as the owner has a 30 minute time limit for cuts. She also notices the lack of women in the salon as well as filthiness and unsanitary practices.
Tabatha also notices a staff manager who cannot manage his staff very well; a staff member who acts more like a child than a grown man when it is time for criticism and an owner who is barely around enough to even know this is all going on. She needs to turn this around quick as his business is going down the tubes.
After watching the staff struggle with the time constraint, Tabatha brought in some drag queens with wigs to see how well these boys could actually cut a woman’s hair and they all failed. She decided to give them all a lesson in women’s hair by sending them to the Paul Mitchell school for some quick lessons. While getting their lessons, the salon owner and 2 other staff members were sent to management classes, teaching them all about the importance of rules.
Next up for Tabatha was revamping Chicago Male Salon on Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on BRAVO which she started by trashing all the Christmas decor which was up for months past Christmas. Then she handed Scott a pair of huge scissors to cut up his tacky curtains before she started to renovate.
On a jammed packed reopening day and after convincing the boys to start doing women’s hair, Tabatha is impressed with most of the staff. While she still has to show one stylist how to wash a woman’s hair, most of them worked well especially since she changed the time constraint for all the cuts.
Upon her final review, she advises Scott to keep his stylists but give lessons to those who need it, and to change his manager and have a mentor stylist. It seems to work well as when she returns Tabatha is pleased that everything is just as she left it and Scott is thrilled with the way his salon is doing now. Another successful takeover!
