Casting Call For New Reality TV Series ‘The Marriage Ref’

January 06, 2010 09:05 AM by Britteny Elrick

After spending nearly a decade on a show that centered around nothing, Jerry Seinfeld has decided to take on a slightly more challenging topic: marriage. The Marriage Ref is a new NBC reality TV series, produced by Seinfeld, that seeks to sort out longstanding issues among married couples. On national TV. I mean, who doesn’t think that’s the best place to work out all your marital woes?

The Marriage Ref is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, March 14 at 8PM ET/PT. Each episode will follow arguing couples as they go up before a panel of comedians and celebrities to try to convince them to take their respective side. Comedian Tom Papa will present the final verdict of who is in the wrong.

Does this sound like something you could use? Currently, NBC is looking for “outgoing, charismatic and opinionated couples” to appear on the show, and newlyweds are “encouraged to apply.” The issue could be something as trivial as household chores to something large like finances.
Those interested in applying can email the show’s casting team at marriagerefcasting@shedmediaus.com or call the hotline number at 1-877-304-4040. Additional information is available via NBC’s website.
