Kara DioGuardi – American Idol Judge

It is Kara DioGuardi’s sophomore year on American Idol and now that all the nerves have passed, she will not be afraid to put it all out there in an effort to help the singers that audition and eventually make it into the top 12 make it the best year American Idol has ever had.

Kara DioGuardi’s efforts early on for a solo and band career did not reach commercial success she later became very sought-after as a songwriter, writing or co-writing many international hit songs for the last 10 years.

To date, she has had over 39 albums in the Top 10 on Billboard’s 200 album chart. Her songs are on over 100 million records. The majority of her songs have been recorded by American females in the pop/rock genre, with a significant minority of songs recorded by Australian females, and Latin music artists. Kara DioGuardi can be heard performing backup vocals on some of these recordings.

Kara DioGuardi also co-owns Arthouse Entertainment a publishing company that is a resource business for record companies and other music entities seeking compositions, productions, artists, and related music services.

She has also written many songs sung by American Idol winners and alumni such as Kelly Clarkson, Diana DeGarmo, David Cook, Carrie Underwood, and Katharine McPhee. She has also wrote,co-wrote or produced the following songs: Jessica Simpson’s “Irresistible”, Kylie Minogue’s “Fever”, Celine Dion’s “A New Day Has Come”, Britney Spears “In The Zone”, Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten”, Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway”, Gwen Stefani’s “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” Christina Aguilera’s “Back to Basics”, Avril Lavigne’s “The Best Damn Thing”, Camp Rock Soundtrack, and David Archuleta’s self titled album.
