Jon & Kate Plus 8: Kate Gosselin Scores Another Reality TV Deal

January 13, 2010 01:00 PM by Britteny Elrick

Although Kate Gosselin’s talk show deal ended up falling through, TLC has offered her yet another reality TV gig. This time around, the show will not focus on Kate as she struggles to care for her eight young children, rather it will chronicle how she handles being out of her element in different work environments. The show is to premiere early this summer…

There will also be an interactive component to the show, where audience members will help determine what task Kate must try. As reported by TheWrap, a Discovery executive said of Kate, “She’s proven herself to be a celebrity in her own right and, with the interest she generates, she can fit into any role on her own.”

More information to come as it develops!

You are not! Where will the kids be while you are making YOUR reality show? Oh my goodness…..why in gods name did you have these kids? You’re more interested in fame and fortune than being with those kids. And don’t say you need to support them as other people that have 8 or more kids do it and they don’t have the financial foundation you have to start with either. I really hope you come to your senses and realize what you are doing here. Kids want their mom and dad, they don’t want money or things money can buy. You did seem to be doing a terrific job with them as far as behavior issues, manners, etc., and now you risk undoing all of that for more TV time. How sad!

You can make every excuse in the book as to why you are going to make your own reality show and claim that the kids will be taken care of while you’re doing this, but ultimately, the time you take to do this is time away from those kids and those kids will come back to that missed time when they grow up. It will not be the great times they had with you….they’ll remember the times you weren’t there.
