The Real Housewives Of Orange County: The Truth Hurts

January 14, 2010 09:50 PM by Jennifer

Things finally get real on tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County on BRAVO. Gretchen and Lynne have it out, and Vicki hosts a slumber party for the girls at her house to make up for a recent girls only trip that was ruined by the husbands showing up. What truths will come out? Who is the special guest that Vicki has invited? You will have to keep reading to find out!

Lynne and Gretchen finally speak, and Lynne asks her about the recent shopping trip where Gretchen took Lynne’s daughter Alexa out because she felt that Alexa is depressed. Lynne gets really defensive, and said she doesn’t need anyone to tell her how to raise her kids, especially someone who does not have kids herself. Gretchen goes back and tells her boyfriend Slade that she was really offended by what Lynne had said, and Slade, being the mature parent that he is, says that the doctor pulled Lynne’s face too tight during her recent face lift. Gretchen ends up suggesting to Lynne that she come to her house for a drink so they can straighten this out. I don’t know about you, but the fact that Lynne’s kids ask if they can drink beer underage and talk about how she liked hash brownies on a previous episode would concern me too.

Lynne and her husband Frank go over to Gretchen’s house, and surprise, Slade is there too. Slade starts going off about how Lynne may not like what he has to say about raising teenage girls, but that she is going to listen. Funny, I thought Slade has two boys… Frank and Lynne let everything they say go in one ear and out the other.

Elsewhere in Orange county on this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County on BRAVO, Tamra talks to her son Ryan about reconciling with her husband Simon, as Simon is really mad that Ryan disrespected him on his Facebook page. He and Simon have not spoken since Ryan took Tamra’s car without permission, and the only way Simon will forgive is if Ryan apologizes on Facebook.  Tamra tells Simon Ryan is coming over to get his mail, and Ryan gets a call that he has just landed a job. He ends up apologizing to Simon, and Tamra is happy that the two are finally getting along.

Meanwhile, over at the Gunvalson house, Vicki says that her son Micheal has not asked her for a penny since he graduated college.  Turns out that he is making thousands of dollars playing online poker.  Maybe Lynne should go to them for parenting advice!

Later that evening, Vicki has the girls over for a girl’s only slumber party, and invites a psychic named Doogle as a surprise for the girls.  The psychic first talks to Gretchen, and the topic of her relationship with Slade comes up, and he tells her that it may not be the relationship for her.  He then speaks to Tamra and tells her that she has a fear of abandonment, and that she should always tell how she feels.  The psychic tries talking to Alexis, but she makes it known that she doesn’t believe in psychics.

Doogle then speaks to Vicki, and tells her that she brings the business side of herself into her personal life, and that she needs to be more emotional.  He lets Lynne know that she does not express herself, and Lynne says that it is untrue, that she expresses herself all the time.  The overall image he gets is that they are all extraordinary women, and tells them they should all get along.  Tamra then takes Doogle aside, and tells him that she is scared that Ryan will end up dying young. He tells her that she needs to back off and let him find things out on his own and make his own mistakes.

The girls all decide to do Jello shots, and they decide that it would be fun to toilet paper former housewife Jeana’s house with toilet paper on tonight’s episode of   The Real Housewives of Orange County on BRAVO.  They all put on these ridiculous creepy looking masks and go over to Jeana’s house, and they all get their revenge for all of the things Jeans has said about them in the past.  After the shenanigans with the toilet paper, the girls decide that it is time to go to bed, and Lynne and Alexis decide to go home and sleep at their own houses.  Lynne goes because she said she would rather be at home with her husband, and Alexis says it is to go be with her kids.  We all know Alexis really left because she doesn’t want to make her husband change any dirty diapers on her babies.

Did Vicki’s get together bring the girls closer?  Will the feud between Lynne and Gretchen continue, or will she and Lynne end up like her and Tamra?

Tune in next Thursday at 10 PM EST for another drama filled episode of  The Real Housewives of Orange County on BRAVO to find out!!

I agree with Lynne. Gretchen has NO class and uses sex to get money, how degrading. I don’t know why she’s even on the show.

I use to like Tamara but now I think that she is a money grubber. She and Simon looked so happy in the previous seasons and now that the economy sucks and Simon is most likely not making as much as he was, she is belittling him and talking about how bad their marriage is. Stop looking at the dollar signs, Tamara, and realize that you have a wonderful husband. It is funny how Tamara talks about how Gretchen is all about money – which I agree with, but Tamara is no different. Tamara is just as much a money grubber as Gretchen. I got really pissed when the show aired with her talking to her mom and she said that she did not want to live in a condo with children. Oh boo hoo Tamara, many people live in a condo with children. Get over it!

I know what Lynn is going through. I have 2 daughters. You can be the best Mom, but when they reach a certain age their hormones change drastically and there is no reasoning with them. They usually will not take your advice. I think that is part of growing up. The ones that don’t yet have daughters of that age do not actually know what it is to experience what Lynn is going through. Boy!!! Will they have a rude awaking! Even when you try to be strict and set rules, they rebell at that age. They will eventually grow up and hopely become responsible adults. It’s the hormones that change their way of thinking. Hang in there Lynn. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you are not a good Mom. Your friends mean well, but they don’t know how it is yet. Tamara does, her son went through that stage. It seems like he is starting to grow up.
