Survivor: Palau castaway Jennifer Lyon has been a fighter for years.  Not only when she came in forth place on Survivor, but also during her battle against breast cancer for the last five years.  Sadly, Jennifer Lyons lost that battle yesterday and today her fans are grieving her passing, while celebrating her life and spirit.

Survivor: Palau premiered on February 17, 2005 and in August of that year Jennifer went to see a doctor regarding lumps she had found in her breasts.  She was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer and underwent a modified, radical bilateral mastectomy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on August 29, during which a surgeon removed both her breasts and 29 lymph nodes.

For the past several years Jennifer Lyons had fought the battle against breast cancer and then fought the cancer when she found out that it spread to her bones.  According to her friends and a post made on Coby Archa’s facebook page (a fellow Survivor: Palau castaway), she never lost her spirit.

Visit her website Jennlyon.com for more information on Jennifer and the causes that were important to her.

We send our deepest condolences to Jennifer Lyon’s family and friends and hope that they can find peace, through here memories, during this tough time.
