Tonight on what was supposed to be a new episode of Supernanny on ABC, we actually got to see Mike Ruggles in Supermanny instead. Mike traveled to Colorado tonight to help a mother at her wits end with her out of control kids and anger filled husband. Will Mike be able to show this family the err of their ways before it is too late and mom walks out? You’ll have to keep reading to find out!

On a Supermanny special tonight on ABC, Mike Ruggles meets the Griswold family of Colorado. Mom, Roberta is fed up with her out of control kids, but does absolutely no disciplining. Dad, Allan scares his children to death and it shows in the children as their 7 year old son also has an anger problem. 16 year old daughter Brianna has no respect for her parents and spends too much time drinking alcohol, in fact she was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning. Mike sure had his work cut out for him with this crazy family!

First on Supermanny on ABC after observing the chaos, Mike decides he needs to show these parents how terrified these kids are of their father, so he sets up video cameras so the parents can watch as he role plays with the kids. Roberta and Allan are saddened by what they say. Allan, who breaks down in tears cannot believe that his family feels he is such a monster.

Mom, Roberta on the other hand does absolutely no discipline, instead walks around complaining about her life and how she should leave. Mike sits down with these parents and tries to show them how their negative behavior is affecting their 4 children. After showing mom how to properly discipline, he sends her on a field trip to the mall with the kids….but that’s not all! He also sends her with earpiece so he can give her some support as he watches from the sidelines. She has a rough time at first, but eventually the support system works well for her and she is able to discipline the children with ease.

Now it was time to address sixteen year old Brianna’s drinking problem on Supermanny on ABC. Mike decides to give her a real reality check when he brings in some people to chat with her. A younger girl who was in a serious car crash goes on in detail to Brianna about how her eye was falling out, etc. after her accident which involved alcohol. This seemed to hit Brianna as she realized how serious her problem was and made a written promise not to abuse alcohol in the future.

Supermanny Mike seemed to pull it all together when he sent the family on a hiking trip, where Dad declared he would stop behaving with tantrums and let every person in the family know how he would treat them better. The family vowed to come together and they left Mike Ruggles with tears in his eyes. Wow, I don’t think I have ever seen Jo cry like that. Let’s just hope this family continues on their positive journey and Mike does not end up back there!

Be sure to tune in next Friday at 8 pm EST for another episode of Supernanny on ABC.

I was watching your show and there was a child on there that curses his mom out on top of throwing things at her, The father yells at this little monster child and u tell the father of this monster child that he shouldn’t yell at him,The poor father felt like garbage because u made him feel like he was a bad parent. R U SERIOUSLY KIDDING? NO WONDER OUR KIDS ACT LIKE A BUNCH OF ANIMALS THESE DAYS, NOW U SHOULDN’T EVEN YELL AT YOUR CHILDREN WHEN THEIR BAD OR DISRESPECT THERE PARENTS, YOUR A JOKE AND A WASTE OF AIRTIME, AS SOON AS I SAW THAT I TURNED THE CHANNEL, I GUESS THEY’LL PUT ANYONE ON TV THESE DAYS, EVEN THE ONES WITHOUT A CLUE

Your wrong #1. Yelling makes it worse. Treat them with respect, they will eventually treat you with respect. Back then it might have worked but now it does not.
