Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn gives his first interview following a risky Stem Cell Transplant procedure today on the Doctors. After undergoing the treatment, Zohn has spent 21 days in isolation. He finally breaks his silence about the treatment, battling cancer, the support of his girlfriend (and Survivor: The Amazon winner) Jenna Morasca, and being a spokesperson about cancer awareness. Keep reading to learn more about the moving interview…
Survivor winner Zohn sat down with former Bachelor Dr. Travis Stork for a personal and intimate interview about his ongoing struggle with cancer. Zohn, 36, was diagnosed with CD Positive Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009. Since that time, he has worked with StandUp2Cancer and the LiveStrong Foundation to raise cancer awareness among young people. His very public battle with cancer has been an inspiration to many. Today on the Doctors, he speaks for the first time about his recent Stem Cell Transplant procedure, why he decided to opt for such a risky treatment, and his prognosis.
Dr. Stork also chats with Zohn’s girlfriend and winner of Survivor: The Amazon, Jenna Morasca, about the vital role she played in Zohn’s battle. “I pretty much bullied him whenever he felt down,†Morasca says. “I made him watch ‘Gladiator’ and would say ‘get it together and start fighting,’ and I think that made a difference.â€
The interview between Zohn and Dr. Stork airs today, February 1st, on the Doctors.
