The Biggest Loser: Return Of The Eliminated Losers!

February 02, 2010 09:15 PM by Lisa Princ

Even though we had a later start tonight at 9 pm instead of 8 pm, we still got a brand new 2 hour episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC, in which our two eliminated teams from week one return to the ranch for a weigh in to see who gets to stay and compete. After Migdalia’s emotional send off last week, how will Miggy bounce back this week and react to Melissa? There are a few surprises in store as well as an ambulance pick up. You may be in for a surprise if you think you know how this week plays out! Keep reading for all the fitness filled details!

Miggy surprised us tonight on The Biggest Loser on NBC as she started off the episode in tears over Migdalia’s send off….yes tears for Miggy, I wonder if anyone showed Jillian Michaels that tape! She however, had no chance to react to much as she awoke at 2 am with extreme stomach pain. After being taken off to the emergency room by ambulance, she had to have emergency surgery to have her appendix removed. Unfortunately for Miggy, her misfortune would not end there either as along with not be able to exercise as normal, she was told by the doctor that she had about 8-9 lbs of extra fluid in her that was normal after surgery. All she could do at this point was hope it was down by the time she was weighed in.

The contestants were in for surprise on The Biggest Loser on NBC as both of the teams whom were eliminated in week one, had returned for their weigh in to see who would stay at the ranch to join the competition and who would be sent packing once again. First order of business for Oneal & Sunshine and Vicky & Cherita was to get on the scale and see who had the bigger weight loss. Cherita and Vicky were up first, and they lost a total of 63 lbs together for a 9.92% total loss. Oneal & Sunshine were up next and they lost a total of 76 lbs between them for a total of 11.45%. So Oneal & Sunshine joined back in the competition for their huge weight loss and they also received 2 added bonuses: immunity in this week’s weigh in and they were the only team who would be able to vote in this week’s elimination.

The teams then had to face their fitness challenge this week, pushing huge pillars back and forth with the first team getting to 1000 pushes to win. The winning team would gain immunity while the losing team would get a 2lb penalty. The red, gray and white teams battled it out in a fight to the finish, but finally Michael pulled ahead and won his very first challenge. I think he has finally decided to get serious. In last place came the pink team of Ashley & Sherry, who would unfortunately have to take a 2 lb penalty…let’s hope they worked hard enough to get past this.

Bob Harper was beside himself over all the obstacles the contestants were facing this week with the immunity for Michael, the 2 lb penalty for Ashley & Sherry, and the possible 8-9 lb water gain for Miggy along with her surgery. Bob Harper was quickly cheered up though as he caught some of the contestants making healthy snack choices.Bob was not giving up on anyone this week, he even had Melissa exercise super hard despite his feelings about she had lied to him in the past weeks. After Bob Harper & Jillian Michaels’ last chance workout, here is how our teams fared this week:

Green: Miggy from 211 to 206 (-5) for a total of 2.37%

Gray: Koli from 341 to 335 (-6) & Sam from 320 to 310 (-10) for a total of 2.42%

Orange: Cheryl from 197 to 194 (-3) & Daris from 295 to 283 (-12) for a total of 3.05%

Black: Andrea from 267 to 262 (-5) & Darrell from 351 to 343 (-8) for a total of 2.1%

Brown: John from 427 to 421 (-6) for a total of n/a%

Purple: Stephanie from 230 to 225 (-5) for a total of 2.17%

Red: Lance from 318 to 314 (-4) & Melissa from 203 to 198 (-5) for a total of 1.73%

Pink: Ashley from 326 to 317 (-9) & Sherry from 186 to 180 (-6) for a total of 2.54% (they had a 2 lb penalty)

White: Mike from 456 to 443 (-13) for a total of 2.85% (he had immunity)

Yellow: Oneal from 338 to 333 (-5) & Sunshine from 250 to 245 (-5) for a total of 1.7% (they had immunity)

It seemed for a while there that Melissa and Lance would be up for elimination as they kept falling to last place after each team weighed in. Then it was Miggy’s turn and I thought for sure she did not lose enough weight, but she did and she claimed she did it for Migdalia. Even with their 2 lb penalty, Ashley & Sherry also managed to lose more than enough weight to keep them safe as well, way to go ladies! With only John left, he needed to lose at least 7 lbs, which should have been a piece of a cake for him since he is always in the double digits and he even got to do gym workouts this week as opposed to the pool. Boy was I shocked and surprised when he hopped on the scale and only lost 6 lbs.

This meant that there would be no elimination vote tonight on The Biggest Loser on NBC as John came in last place in total % of weight lost. It was a very emotional send off as everyone in the house adored John and we all could see what a hard worker John was. Since the show however, John has lost a total 104 lbs, bringing him down to 380 and he is still working hard at his weight loss and keeping his fitness routine going. John vowed that the next time we see him he will be in the 200′s and I sure hope so. He looked wonderful at 104 lbs lighter, keep up the great work John…and we will miss you!

Be sure to tune in next Tuesday at 8 PM EST for a brand new episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC. See you after the show!
