Tonight on a brand new episode of Project Runway on Lifetime, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn throw a few surprises at our fashion gurus that leaves them completely stressed…..but it’s all for a good cause. With the addition of some very special guests, why does a simple red dress have the designers so stressed out and wishing they had more time? Keep reading for all the details!

Red dresses were the theme this week on Project Runway as the designers were asked to design a dress for Cambell’s address your heart, a charity gala event for women with heart issues. That was not the only challenge though, as the designers needed to make sure the dress was red and needed to be fit for a gala event. They also needed to incorporate the Cambell’s logo somewhere in the dress….got all that? That’s still not the only challenge however as they were visited by a group of women who have overcome heart issues who would also be modeling their designs this week! On one final surprise note, Tim informed everyone that they would have only one day to complete this challenge, Yikes!

The winner of this challenge tonight on Project Runway would not only gain immunity next week, but their model would be wearing their design to the gala event and the winning designer would be joining them. The challenge winner would also have their design sold for a limited time on Project Runway‘s website: projectrunway.com. This was going to be tough though as these women were not the usual size 4-6 models that our designers were used to working with, instead these ladies were real women, most plus size.

As the designers struggled greatly with this challenge because of the time crunch and size of their models, Seth had really lost track of himself. He was working too hard to please his model and his design ended up looking nothing something he would have created. After Tim’s critique and with little time left, he decided to scrap his design and start over completely, but would he finish it in time? Amazingly enough, he did finish it and despite what he thought his model would say, she loved the classy looking design and fit of his dress.

After scurrying to finish their designs, it was now runway time on Project Runway. It was so hard to look at all that red, and distinguish what made each one stand out. Most were flattering to their models, but a few just looked tacky. Heidi called Maya, Mila, Jesse, Jesus, Amy and Anna and told those whom she did not call that they were safe for the week. I guess Seth’s last minute decision paid off, lucky for him!

Maya, Mila and Amy were the top three of the evening and I really thought they would have chosen Mila’s gown as it stood out the most with a satin white star in the center of it. The judges however, loved Amy’s gown the best and told her she was the winner of this week’s challenge and rightfully so as her dress was gorgeous and flowed perfectly on her model. Maya, Mila and Jesse were then told they were safe and sent off the runway.

So it was down to Anna and Jesus. Anna’s design was in good intention but just did not look right on her model. She was trying to accentuate her waist and it just made her shoulders look bigger. Jesus’s dress was tacky. It was red satin, very short and very tight. After a few minutes of deliberation, Heidi Klum brought them back and informed Jesus that he was out! So after a few weeks of being in the bottom, we finally said goodbye to Jesus tonight and I completely agree with them as he seemed to lack a sense of taste.

Be sure to tune in next Thursday at 10 PM EST for a brand new episode of Project Runway. See you after the show!
