The Bachelor: Could Ali Be the Next Bachelorette?

On last night’s episode of ABC‘s The Bachelor, viewers held their breath to see if pilot Jake Pavelka would give departed contestant Ali Fedotowsky a second chance at love. Fans of the reality dating show were shocked last week when Ali decided to leave the show in order to save her career, but were equally hopeful that she would return to the show last night after ABC promos showed her calling Jake and begging for a second chance. Today, Ali visited The Ellen Degeneres Show to talk about her reaction to Jake’s rejection, her thoughts on who this year’s winner could be, and whether or not she’ll be returning to TV as the Bachelorette…
San Francisco-based Ali Fedotowsky seemed to be a front-runner for The Bachelor‘s heart from the very first episode, so fans were stunned to see her leave the show early by her own choice. We here at Reality TV Magazine were rooting for Jake to give Ali a second chance after she confessed her love and begged for a second chance on last night’s episode. Sadly, Jake rejected Ali’s request saying he had already fallen in love with the three remaining bachelorettes, Vienna, Tenley, and Gia. While a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show today, Ali tells the comedienne she was “pretty shocked” that he had developed stronger feelings for the other three women.
“One of the reasons it was OK for me to leave in the first place was because I thought if this is love and he really cares about me, then he is going to come and find me,” Fedotowsky says. “He’s a pilot, like fly to get me that would be amazing…I thought we had something really great.”
Internet rumors have been circulating about the possibility of Ali returning to ABC to star as the next Bachelorette and Ali certainly seems open to it. “That would be so nice,” she says of the possibility. “I would be so flattered. If [ABC] were to ask me, that would be so great.” The talk show host obviously thinks it’s a great idea too. “I would say yes for you!” exclaims DeGeneres. “I think you should do that.”
Since Ali is apparently out of the running for Jake’s heart, who does she think will receive the final rose on The Bachelor? Although she’s “good friends” with Tenley, Ali says, ”I actually think it could be Vienna. They look like a good couple.” Dear God, please anyone but Vienna!!
