The Bachelorette Jillian Harris knows a thing or two about finding love on national television so she’s got some advice for The Bachelor‘s Jake Pavelka: pick Tenley! The Bachelorette and her fiance, Ed Swiderski, may be happily in love but they can’t seem to agree on what the outcome of The Bachelor should be. The couple talked to Us Weekly about Jake’s tough decision, their opinions on the final two ladies, and how to handle those pesky tabloid rumors…
Jake Pavelka owes former Bachelorette, Jillian Harris a lot. After all, if Jillian hadn’t rejected Jake on last season’s The Bachelorette Jake would’ve never been given the opportunity to search for love as The Bachelor. With the season finale only a week away, fans of the ABC dating show are dying to know whether Jake’s final rose will go to the sugary sweet divorcee, Tenley, or the blonde bad girl, Vienna. The country is divided and so, it seems, are Jillian and Ed.
“I’ve always thought Tenley was a good person for [Jake],” Jillian says. Ed agrees that the pair would make a good match saying, “They come off as the perfect couple I think because they’re both religious, they’re both praying to end up together.” But Ed seems to be rooting for controversial Bachelor contestant, Vienna, to win Jake’s heart. “Maybe Vienna is a better person than she’s being portrayed,” Ed says. Despite the tabloid reports that are continually surfacing about Vienna, Ed comes to her defense saying, “she’s a normal person, she really is. Yes she’s gone through some weird stuff, she had some fun…but she’s been pretty loyal to Jake as far as we know.”
Jillian and Ed are no strangers to being negatively portrayed in the media. Shortly after The Bachelorette finale aired and the couple publicly announced their engagement last year, rumors about Ed’s alleged infidelity graced the covers of nearly every tabloid magazine. The happy couple, busy planning their upcoming wedding, offers some helpful advice for The Bachelor on how to deal with negative press. “It’s so hard because as much as you say hang on tight, don’t listen to what anyone says, lean on your friends and family, it’s hard,” Jillian says. Ed agrees, saying, “You have to learn how to deal with it and either improve your relationship or move on.”
