It’s a girl for Bravo Top Chef‘s Padma Lakshmi! The model and Emmy-award winning host of Bravo‘s Top Chef welcomed her daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi, on Saturday, her rep reports. Keep reading to find out more about Padma Lakshmi’s sweet new addition…

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is the proud new mother of a baby girl. Her daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi, was born on Saturday. According to Lakshmi’s rep,  ”Mother and baby are well and happy.”

Lakshmi, 39, first announced her pregnancy in October but has remained mum on the identity of the father. After years of struggling with endometriosis, Lakshmi considered her pregnancy a “medical miracle” according to her rep. Shortly before the birth of Krishna, a friend said, ”Padma is very happy. She’s wanted to be a mom for a long time. She was very relieved and happy when she got pregnant.”

The Top Chef host hinted about her baby’s name last month, saying, ”I am going to name the child an Indian name. It will be after someone in my family, so don’t expect to see an Anglicized name – it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name.” During her pregnancy, Lakshmi also dished on what she was craving. “There was about a week-and-a- half when I was really craving a cinnamon donut. Then I had the cinnamon donut, and it was like, ‘Eh.’ I mean, it was OK, but that was it. And then it was over,” the Top Chef host joked.

Congratulations to Padma on the arrival of her new baby girl!
