Yamin also tweeted, ”Complete and utter choas on the streets…no power…my heart is beatin outta my chest!….tsunami warnin…I am only a mile inland.” CNN began reporting the American Idol star’s tweets as part of their earthquake coverage. I didn’t even know if I was going to make it downstairs.” The singer also admitted that he “was pretty emotional” and “shed a few tears.”
Yamin and his band were fortunate to be in Vina del Mar, for the Vina del Mar International Song Festival, when the massive quake hit. According to Yamin, there was ”no immediate destruction” in the area.
