The two met on the reality show and despite have a controversial courtship, the pair is now husband and wife! Keep reading for the romantic details about the dress, the flowers, and the celebrity guest list…
ABC will air a two-hour special next Monday, March 8 documenting the wedding of former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his chosen lady, Molly Malaney. The actual ceremony took place this weekend at the breathtaking Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Despite an unexpected rainfall, the two seemed blissfully happy. Fans will get to see all of the details on the upcoming The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s wedding, but we’ve got a sneak peek into the romantic day.
As for the dress, Molly wore a gorgeous strapless Monique Lhuillier gown paired with Neil Lane jewels. Nothing but the best when ABC is footing the bill. Jason Mesnick and 5-year old son, Ty wore matching black suits. Molly carried a massive white bouquet as she walked down the aisle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The song may have been a bit of foreshadowing since halfway through the ceremony, it started pouring on the couple! According to guests, The Bachelor couple laughed while getting soaked.
Speaking of guests, the wedding was attended by the only two successful couples from The Bachelorette, Ryan and Trista Sutter and Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski. Fellow Bachelor Charlie O’Connell attended, along with Lost’s Evangeline Lilly.
This is the first time a couple from The Bachelor has actually tied the knot. (Trista and Ryan married after meeting on The Bachelorette). Jason Mesnick and Molly’s relationship was no walk in the park though. The two were despised by fans for quite some time after Jason proposed to Melissa Rycroft during The Bachelor finale, broke up with her on national television, and then asked Molly for a second chance. Apparently, it’s all worked out for them and we wish them well.
