Pamela Anderson is certainly reaping the benefits of being a part of the celebrity cast on the upcoming season of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. The Baywatch babe says she’s having a blast, getting in shape, and staying out of trouble due to her involvement with the show! Keep reading to find out more about how the working mom finds time for rehearsals, what she’s shy about, and why a former Dancing With the Stars champion thinks she won’t win…

Pamela Anderson was reportedly among the first celebrities cast on the tenth season of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. The blonde bombshell, who is paired with Dancing With the Stars newbie, Damian Whitewood, seems to be having a great time so far. “I’m having the best time,” the 42-year old star says. “It’s stimulating mentally, physically and emotionally. It has my focus and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance. Maybe I’ll get in shape as well.”

Besides getting in shape, Pamela Anderson thinks there’s another benefit to her stint on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. “This will keep me out of trouble,” the star says. I guess that means she hasn’t invited ex, Tommy Lee to support her.

Pamela Anderson admits that in the past she’s been “a little bit shy” about dancing, but she decided to do Dancing With the Stars for her mother and her 85-year-old great-aunt Vie. “This is a leap of faith,” she says. “I’ll learn a life skill. I’m a romantic. I’m putting my heart into this.” The single mom is carefully balancing her home life and professional life now that she’s a cast member on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. She tweeted, “This is a great time for me to do this. I rehearse while boys are in school…love it.”

There seems to be one person who doubts Pamela Anderson’s ability to win the ABC dance competition: former Dancing With the Stars, Olympian Apolo Anton Ohno. While a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this week, Ohno joked about the competition, saying, “Between, what is it, Pam Anderson and Evan Lysacek? Pam Anderson, she’s a little top-heavy. I think Evan is going to do very well. Plus, he’s an Olympic medalist!”

Naysayers like Ohno don’t seem to be getting Anderson down. She recently tweeted, “I’m such a lucky girl to be doing Dancing With the Stars. It’s going to be a lot of hard work, but I’m so excited to learn an work really hard for the competition. I adore my dance partner, it’s going to be a lot of fun! Remember to vote!”

You can watch Pamela Anderson strut herself when ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars premieres on March 22nd.
