It’s no secret that Giuliana & Bill stars, real-life husband and wife Bill & Giuliana Rancic, are trying to have a baby! The reality show has chronicled their unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant and the couple recently stopped by The View to chat about in vitro fertilization and Giuliana’s doctor’s orders to gain a few pounds. Now, Giuliana says that the media’s obsession with her weight is driving her “crazy.” Keep reading to find out more…
It’s what most women would dream of. As Giuliana Rancic, star of Giuliana & Bill, prepares to undergo in vitro fertilization, her doctor ordered her to gain weight! Nothing major, just five or ten pounds, but it was a big deal to the Giuliana & Bill star who is very concerned with her appearance. Giuliana recently told the ladies at The View, “I had to bite that bullet. You have to understand something. I work out everyday of my life, I love feeling good, waking up, working out. I finally did gain the 5 pounds. We’re working on more.” Now, the media has caught wind of her alleged weight gain and their coverage is driving the Giuliana & Bill star crazy.
“I work in a really superficial industry,” she says. “I mean, I am getting Google Alerts saying, ‘You look good with the weight gain.’ They don’t realize they’re being mean by saying you look good fatter. It’s enough to drive any girl a little crazy. But it’s okay. What can I say? There’s nothing I can do about it.”
The Giuliana & Bill star says that celebrity blogger Perez Hilton told her, ”You’ll look so much better [when you gain weight] and you’ll be that much more likely to have a baby.” And last night at the Oscars, Giuliana said, ”Even tonight, I got a Google alert that I debuted my pre-baby weight gain.” We’re going to choose to overlook the fact that she just admitted, twice, to getting Google alerts on herself!
As for the weight gain, Giuliana says it hasn’t been easy. “I used to run a lot, because I loved it, but now I don’t do it as much,” she said. “I always ate healthy. Just because I have to gain weight doesn’t mean I am going to go to a drive through and pig out on fast food. I eat very clean.” She does remember, though, that it’s all for a good cause: the hope of a son or daughter. “It’s all good,” she says about their baby plans. “We’ll get there.”
