On Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City, chef and funny girl Bethenny Frankel seems to be the only “housewife” who is somewhat in touch with reality. The quick-witted, straightforward chef has no problem telling it like it is, while also laughing at herself in the process. Now, the previously single star, who is engaged, expecting a baby, and set to star in a spin-off show titled Bethenny’s Getting Married, talks about her crazy bridezilla moments as she plans her own wedding…

Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Bethenny Frankel is getting married! The reality star is engaged to Jason Hoppy, father of her soon-to-arrive son or daughter, and Bravo is chronicling the wedding planning for a spin-off reality show titled Bethenny’s Getting Married. Despite her typically laid-back attitude on Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel admits that planning a wedding is bringing out her inner bridezilla.

“I find that just looking at dresses, I have Bridezilla moments,” Frankel says.  “You feel like an 8-year-old, trying on things and getting stuck in a dress, and I’m like, ‘Get me the hell out of here!’” Beyond the dresses though, the Real Housewives of New York City star says the rest of the planning doesn’t stress her out too much.

“I don’t care about stuff. It’s not me,” she says, adding. “I’m not the shopper, and everyone knows that I don’t like to transact. I don’t like the stores and registering and all that stuff. So I’ve been sort of doing it, but I don’t love that. It’s funny to be like, ‘Ugh, honey, who cares about a creamer!’ We had a fictitious dinner party in our head as we were registering and I’m like, ‘Are we serving them creamer? Can’t they leave?’”

About the wedding planning, Frankel admits, “It’s going great” but she remains tight-lipped about when the big day will arrive. She admits that “it’s soon, but not as soon” as her due date in June. She and fiance, Hoppy, seem to be pretty relaxed about the baby’s arrival as well. “We haven’t really figured out what we are doing about the baby’s room. We are both clueless,” Frankel says. “My fiance, Jason Hoppy, has been looking at cribs, saying, ‘We have to get the baby’s room in order now.’ I’m like, ‘Relax, we have [time].’”

As for the new season of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City which premiered on March 4, Frankel says, “It’s the most volatile season by far, more than all the other seasons. They didn’t have time to fit all the arguments in, honestly.”
