CBS‘s new reality show, Undercover Boss, which follows corporate bigwigs as they infiltrate their own companies to work entry-level jobs, has been renewed for a second season. The reality show has been a huge hit since it premiered after the Super Bowl. Keep reading to find out more details about Undercover Boss‘ second season…
CBS has announced plans to renew Undercover Boss for a second season. The show set a record when it premiered following the Super Bowl. With 38.7 million viewers tuning into the debut, Undercover Boss broke the record for the largest audience for a new series premiering after the Super Bowl. The show continues to grab viewers week after week, averaging over 18 million viewers on a regular basis.
Not surprisingly, CBS is hoping to continue the momentum by filming a second season of Undercover Boss. The show follows corporate executives as they go undercover to work in their own companies. The first season of Undercover Boss has taken viewers undercover in companies like Hooters, Waste Management, 7-Eleven, and White Castle. It hasn’t yet been announced what companies will be featured on the reality show’s second season, but with the growing popularity of Undercover Boss, it might be tricky to film executives working entry-level jobs without employees growing suspicious.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to the series and how audiences seem to connect to it on several levels,†said Jennifer Bresnan, Senior Vice President, CBS Alternative Programming. “The wish fulfillment of seeing the top boss perform jobs of the rank and file is universal, and the employees’ stories discovered at each company are often relatable and inspirational.â€
