The celebrities first assignment on Celebrity Apprentice on NBC after Donald Trump splits them into men & women teams is to choose a team name and then choose who the will be the project manager for the opposing team….yikes! The girls come up with the name “Tenacity” while the guys decide on “Rock Solid”. The guys decide to try and knock out one of the stronger ladies first, so they chose Cyndi Lauper to be the project manager. As predicted by Bret Michaels himself, the girls go for what they think is the weakest link on the men’s team and choose Bret Michaels to be the project manager.
Donald Trump then gives the celebrities their challenge on the season 3 premiere of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC: run a diner for charity. Easy enough, right? All they have to do cook some diner food and try to get some big customers to eat there. The winning team will have all the proceeds donated to the charity of the project manager for that team, while the losing team will face the boardroom with Donald and his children. The men seem to think they have this in the bag seeing as they have Curtis Stone on their team..I mean who wouldn’t him to cook for them? The ladies seem a little more nervous, let’s see how they all do.
As both teams have decided to serve burgers in their diner on the season 3 premiere of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, it all comes down to a matter of money. The girls decide to go with lower priced meals hoping to get people in the door and eating while Curtis advises the guys that $100 burgers would be a better choice in making more money. Curtis decides to go with truffle risoto as well for $250 a plate! The girls debate back and forth on what to serve with their burgers, but ultimately they decide on fries….yeah, that was tough.
The ladies, who did some advertising on the local radio have a line around block trying to get into their diner on the season 3 premiere of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, while the men are off to a slow start. Things quickly pick up for the guys, and in a surprise by Donald Trump, he sends in Joan Rivers to both places to try the food, check out the service and relay back to him on which was overall better….that team would receive an additional $10k in their total.
When it came to the boardroom on Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, the ladies made $29k with an added $10k bonus as Joan thought they did better, she blamed a cold burger at the guys diner on Rod’s slow service! The guys ended up with $57k from their diner, surprising as it looked like they had a slow start…but then again if I knew Curtis was cooking, I would be flocking there as well.
Donald Trump asked the ladies numerous time on the season 3 premiere of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC to tell him who should go home, but no one would answer. Finally blame started to be tossed between Holly and Carol. When Donald asked Cyndi, the project manager which two people she wanted to bring back with her to the boardroom, she could not choose. So Donald Trump decided for her that Carol would be getting fired since most of the ladies pointed to her.
